Very good paint. Covered in one thick coat with my high pressure hand held spray gun. Very thick product and really required no stirring.
My porch and foundation have such a beautiful shine to it now. The thickness and quality is amazing for the price. I would recommend it to anyone!
Good Quality COMPOZIT Rust Converter! Easy to Use! No Harsh Smells! I used this on rusted trailer hitches, and it worked great! Every time I would clean them, within days the rust was coming back. I applied this almost two months ago, and still no rust. Just make sure you follow the instructions, including preparation. This is very watery, so applying with a brush is recommended. It covers a good bit of area, so I was able to do two coats on everything I used it on, and still have plenty left over. I really like that this is plant based, as I don't like using harsh chemicals. Each coat was completely dry within 15 minutes, so not a long wait to reapply. I would also recommend transferring some into a small container, with a larger opening, to dip a brush into. Overall I recommend this product!
I love this paint- dries super fast (almost too fast) and protects like none of my other paints- holds up to my dogs in window seals also.
Applied smoothly, very light
I'm very pleased with the quality of this paint and will be buying it again in the future. It covers well, is just the right consistency, and cleans up easily. Nice!
This stuff is impressively good. Be sure to clean as much of the loose rust off before applying. It may take a little bit but be patient. Results have been greate so far.
Covered ok but needed 2 coats to get a real good coverage. Easy clean up was a plus.
Works as it should. This result I ever had from using rust converter. Highly recommended
This is a solid professional-grade prep tool. It doesn't eat through heavy scale like a dedicated industrial acid might, but for light to medium surface rust, it's perfect. The big win here is the lack of odor and the ease of cleanup since it's plant-based. I found that you definitely need to do your due diligence with a wire brush firstβit won't do all the work for youβbut once applied, it creates a very stable surface for a topcoat. I docked a star because it takes a little longer to cure than the chemical-heavy stuff, but the results are worth the wait.
Excellent coverage quick drying at a good price
This product is really good. Had excellent coverage. The three gallon tub was more than enough for two coats on a 10 x 20 garage floor. The dove grey is a very good looking color as well. I added two coats of gloss sealant, the final coat with an anti slip additive. Protected the finish with a vinyl runner for many years of enjoyment. Worth the investment! Love the results!
Certainly the application could not be easier, the product does what it said, changing the red rust black. I did 3 coats on rusted galvanized nails on a deck in Eastern North Carolina, followed by epoxy primer then 2 coats of S-W Duration paint. Time will tell how the product performs in the long term.
This product is AMAZINGβ¦.so far! I had previously stained my concrete patio with a very deep rust colored stain a couple of years ago. I painted over it with gray concrete paint last year, well overtime that paint chipped and peeled and the rust color was showing through. I purchased this product. It was delivered at 7 AM and by 8 AM I had already put on the first coat and could tell it was going to be perfect. 2 1/2 hours later I applied a second coat and it is absolutely perfect. I haven't read anything about sealing it so I'm going to leave it as is. I did have to watch a YouTube video on how to get the plastic ring off the paint can to get it opened lol!!! I applied the paint using a roller and on some edges I needed to use a foam paintbrush. One can was plenty to do two coats. I probably have enough to do another two coats. The finish looks very durable, like a high-quality job. It was easy to apply. Full coverage in just two coats. I will wait the recommended drying time of 24 hours before I put the furniture back on it.
This plant-based rust converter from KOMPOSIT is an easy to use liquid product that can be brushed, rolled or sprayed onto rusted surfaces. I've used a variety of rust converters and they all work in a similar way by converting the visible rust (iron-oxide) into a stabilized black oxide that resists further rusting and provides a more stable surface that is ready for primer. I ordered the 32oz bottle which has a stated coverage of up to 300sqft. The liquid is very thin, like water and looks a lot like strong black coffee. It's very easy to apply to flat surfaces but tends to run off vertical surfaces too easily, which is where gel products have an advantage. Where it remains coated, it will turn the rust into a dark, almost black color to let you know it has converted the rust. Like most products, it's essential to clean and remove any loose rust before applying to help provide a stable surface for painting. I used a wire brush to remove any loose material from an old truck frame and also washed the surface with detergent to remove any trace of grease, or anything else that might prevent the solution from penetrating the rust. If there's any paint or coatings left on the metal, this will have little to no effect on rust if it can't make direct contact. The conversion also didn't seem as effective the first time on vertical surfaces but you can always apply a second or third coat to get better penetration before it's fully dry. At $19, it is a little pricier than some other rust converters out there but this one has the benefit of being plant-based and somewhat more eco-friendly and safer to use. It also has a very low odor which makes it easier to work with inside. It works fairly quickly and you can see the effects as the rust changes color. Overall I'd give this four stars as a little more effort is required applying this to vertical surfaces.
I was looking for a low cost alternative to having my garage floor coated. The cost of having an epoxy coated floor was around $2000 that's if I did the work myself. This paint covered the concrete beautifully and after two weeks of abuse by me it is still on the floor without any pealing. I plan now on putting down 4 cots of a 20% solids finish. I'm not fooling myself thinking this will hold up like an expoxy coating would. Butβ¦β¦.even if I have to strip and repot it every year. My cost for this was under $200. Great paint I highly recommend it.
I ordered this believing it was a product that would remove rust from objects. It is actually a product that is supposed to bond with rust to form a barrier. According to the instructions, this product will combine with rust on a vehicle and harden into a barrier that can be sanded and painted. I have not had the chance to try this out yet. I think that this is a product that could be extremely useful for someone that work with rusted vehicles.
This rust converter is seriously impressive! The plant-based formula is a huge plusβit feels great knowing I'm using something effective without the harsh chemicals. It goes on smoothly and starts working quickly, transforming rusted surfaces into a solid, paintable base. The protection it provides is top-notch. After application, the metal looks clean and well-prepped, and you can tell it's sealed against further corrosion. It's truly industrial-grade performance in an easy, ready-to-use formulaβno complicated mixing or prep required. I've used it on a few different projects now, and the results have been consistently excellent every time. If you're looking for a reliable, eco-friendlier way to tackle rust and extend the life of your metal surfaces, this is definitely the one to get!
This paint covered all kinds of stains, including grease excellently.
I used this Dove Gray concrete floor paint on my garage floor, and I am very happy with it. The color looks clean and the satin finish gives the floor a nice, smooth appearance. The paint quality feels solid, and it went on well with good coverage. The only thing I noticed is the area covered was a little less than stated, probably because of the way I painted and the texture of the floor. It dried nicely and held up well after use. Overall, it was easy to work with and gave my floor a fresh new look.
